If i had a guitar i'd teach myself, or have a friend teach me.
leasons = blah. I'd just stick to it for hours everday till i was good.

You'd self-teach then eh?

yup, i'd learn how to read music and do the hand position things, then just play my ass off forever. i want one so fricking bad but i dont know if i should go with acousic or electric and how much to spend to start off.

You have no idea as to how much money you wanna spend?

always start with acoustic that is what i have but im gunna take less ons cause i cant focus on one thing while on the comp

You'll be able to find one for $500.
I may be wrong beacuse I never bought an acoustical guitar. I got mine from my grandma

ANd start out on an acoustic. NO sense in spending x amount of dollars on an electric and amp and effects if you are gonna give up playing a few months down the road

and Josh....dont study the guitar while practicing. Like you said you wont be able to focus. One can successfully self-teach one-self. If you need stuying material, print it all out. It comes in handy.

well it really comes down to your own personal tastes dude.

My-self for example...I do not buy epiphone or squire guitars.....I buy original gear
