well untill this album i hated most of Brians vocals, but he's finally proven on this record that he has an amazing voice, it's improved tendfold, i suggest downloading "Like the sun" (if you haven't already heard it) "No Coma" "Hell and Malfunction", "Juicy" and if you download nothing else get the IME new slow song "Passenger" very depressing

i can't really say i love this cd because in many parts it's too weird for me, like dope music designed by tripped out ppl for tripped out ppl, and there's a little bit to much tool influence from the new member and producer, but over all it has at least 70% decent very listenable and interesting songs, so you really can't go wrong unless your looking for a perfect start to finnish album. These guys have SOOOOO much potential and are very interesting to listen to, they just need to get a better idea of musical hooks, and i know it might sound horrible for me to say this but, also some more radio friendly songs, not nickelback radio friendly just catchy. But all in all 3/5 stars, definatly at least download the songs i suggested

i love this new album. i noticed the major tool influence too, but then i love tool as well. to me, brian's vocals on this record beat anything that edwin has ever done. in addition to the song already suggested, i'd check out 'soft bomb salad', soft, but very intense.

yeah i like his voice better now too, but edwin still does have a certain charm sometimes, and seemed to have a better grip on hooks and rythm, but the more i listen to this album the more i like it, at first i only liked 3 songs, but now i like almost the entire thing, you just need to let it grow on you, the meat dreams are still taking awhile though, there's some great music in there but it seems all random and miss matched and is a bit to weird for me, i love the guitar riff in the last dream though

yay!

Good to see more IME fans on here.. I am telling you.. after Blue Green Orange I had lost most hope in IME.... but I did see them live a few times during BGO and since... and they still rock live
And QMD is such a great album

yeah i had lost hope too but now i'm back strong, they rock really bad, although seem to try to cut off all past history of the band, which explains the constant use of IME instead of I Mother Earth, and if you look at there discograpghy it only lists BGO and TQSMD

Yeah it's almost as if they want to erase the days with Edwin out of their history.... Which does kind of piss me off.. I mean they were feckin awesome back then! And even if things with Edwin didn't work out it shouldn't mean ignoring they ever existed!
ahh well

i bought edwins solo releases recently and liked them, although at times they were a little too soft or funky for me i still loved them, and when i heard some of teh new IME i couldn't help but compare it to Edwins cd's, there still seems to be alot in comon between them, edwin just took the lighter road while ime got heavier.

This is my pick for album of the year (so far at least!)
After the disaster that was BGO i had forgotten how good this band really was.
Brian sounds about 394305804580438 times better than before.
Choke is one of the best songs i've heard in a LONG time.

No kiddin... that song is phenomenal... it would be a very wise choice for next single if you ask me! I especially love the part where Brian yells "IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!" ... powerful stuff
This CD kicks large ass

i think "No Coma" and "Hell and Mallfunction" could do really well, esspecially "no coma" i personally love "choke" but i think the other 2 have more comercial appeal and they're kind of ona roll right now with "Like the Sun"

I'd recommend people to go check out IME live. Such a great band live, so much energy. It's awesome.
From what i've heard, the record company wants No Coma to be the next single. But the boys in IME want it to be "I is Us." So apparently No Coma will be the next one, followed by I is Us.
I still think they should put out Choke. I think it has this certain radio friendliness. I mean it's loud and heavy, but it's infectious. So infectious.
The "IT DOESN'T MATTER..." part is one of the coolest things i think i've ever heard.

i went from liking 3 songs to loving the entire thing, even the meat dreams are growing on me

, has anyone else noticed that Brians voice went from near crap to one of teh best in Rock music today? it drips emotion he doesn't sing lyrics and hooks, he sings emotions and melodies, the songs can have the weirdest lyrics ever and can still be heart stopping

Yeah Brian has really matured as a singer.. he rules now!
