Oh but they were welcomed. Saddam loved the fact that they were there, however he didn't want them to protect the civilians he wanted them to sit at the most significant military site. DUH! They realized Saddam was a maniac and didn't care about protecting his civilians he wanted them to protect his military equipment. These human shields were the most Anti-War people in the world and even they have gave up and realized that Saddam needs to go. They abandoned what they felt so strongly for.
