Avril Lavigne has been nominated for the juno of best song-writer of the year.
now I'm not one of these anti-avril people, in fact I have defended her on numerous occassions, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

she "co-writes" all of them (what that mean exactly, we don't know), and to me that alone is enough to say that she doesn't deserse this nomination. In reality we don't know how much of avril's songs are her work.

anyway, I don't really want to get into this. I think avril is very talented and has great potential, I just don't think she has proven herself as a song-writer.

i don't mind that avril was nominated for that. i don't really know exactly what she does in the studio so meh ...
i'm just happy she is in the appropriate category: pop album of the year.
but nonetheless, i am happy for her ...

who gives a shit about the grammys or the junos? the awards mean nothing because they refuse to recognize any music that fails to sell large volumes.
in order for an award of that nature to be truly meaningful it has to include all spectrums.
i'm sure even jeff will admit that there are at least 2 or 3 albums out there that deserve this award more then avril and won't get nominated because they failed to crack into the top 10.
