THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROCHESTER SHOW

Hey, I am from Rochester, and I am a part time student at RIT. There are some things you should know about the show, venue, where to eat, etc.

1) There are MANY places to eat no more than 1 mile away from campus if you don't want to worry about finding a place to eat on campus, and spending all the money. There is a wendy's, ihop, olive garden (if you want a sit down place), mcdonalds, etc, etc right by the mall, which is no more than a mile away from RIT.

2) Don't make the directions too hard. If you know how to get to any of the entrances, you are in fine shape. Just follow the signs to the Student Alumni Union. You will see this big circle you drive around. Drive around it and go straight towards the big building. Once you get past the info desk, take a left, and that is where visitor parking is. Walk up towards the building, and take a left when you reach it..there will be this big covered sidewalk to clark..you will see people.

3) It is not ABSOLUTELY vital that you get there 2 hours before doors. The gym is very wide, and there is plenty of room. I went to the hoobastank concert, and it was sold out, and it wasn't too packed, just right in my taste. I would say get there a half-hour, hour before doors, and you will be in horribly good shape.

4) Hey, if you don't have a ticket, the entrance to the gym is glass, so if you don't get caught, you could watch from out there. But hey, i didn't tell you.

5) The opening band is Greenwheel and they absolutely rock. I swear, the singer is made out of rubber. Such an amazing show.

6) When you are there, freaking write CM on your hand! I would like to meet up with some fellow CMers.

7) Since the gym is so big, it is not THAT HOT. I would wear a t-shirt and jeans. it will do fine, and plus, IT IS ROCHESTER NY, it is always freakin' freezing here.

8) Have fun. I will see you all there!

If anyone is recording the show, tell me! And also, I was thinking of recording it myself. How would I go about it?

Thanks!

does anyone know if there is a special group that is going to be let into the concert first?

at the villanova show there was a student activity group that got let in before everyone else and took up the entire front row which was utter crap.

oh yeah.

Question for Jeff: Is the Greyhound bus station in a bad area of the city? It is safe to go out and find a bit to eat for breakfast? My bus arrives at 7:30 AM, giving Sarah and me a few hours to spare before the rest of the gang gets into the city.

I just looked, and the drop off will be in Midtown plaza. Midtown is in the heart of the city of Rochester, and not that bad at all. Lots of places to shop, and some dumb big pole at we hang lights on every year at christmas. You could probably find many places to eat, and I don't think there is any risk of being mugged of whatnot. Midtown is where all the parades are, and whatnot, and safe. I don't know how you are getting to RIT, but merry travels. I give midtown two thumbs up, you will be fine

God, he is though. I have never seen a singer bend back, almost touching his head to the gound, and still retain balance. He is amazing, and incredible stage presence.

Very true. Hes very "flexible" .Last night, he bent back on the floor so far and being in front row for it was great :)

Heheheh, I love how Rochester's so big it's got more than one thread.

Anyway, last night (err... now it was the night before last), Greenwheel opened with Faces, then played Identity. *snagged a setlist* But, like Melissa said, that was with them headlining.

I'm getting soooooooooo anxious for this concert... my god, I can't wait, but aaaahhhh!!!!!! I'm not ready!!!!!!!!!!!!
