We have some exciting Chantal news to report! Not only has Chantal just shot a video for her new single, but she's also about to embark on a month-long US radio tour.

The video for "Time" was shot in Vancouver on January 8. Watch for it on all the music stations in February. In the meantime Chantal will cross the United States promoting 'What If It All Means Something' to radio stations to prepare for the album's American release. The radio tour kicks off January 20.

Before leaving, Chantal took the time to answer fans' questions on AOL Canada and revealed what happened to "G.I. Joe" and which band really gets her going. The chat transcript will be posted on the site shortly, so keep checking back!

Anyone heard any rumors or (better yet) confirmed news about US dates...please tell me she's coming to Philly!

For those of you who haven't heard her stuff, it's excellent! I got some gift certificates to music stores for Christmas and I got her first 2 releases. Being amazed by this material, I ordered her newest cd from hmv.com (it's not available in stores here in the US until spring). As much as I love the first 2, I think she out-did herself with this one. If you can find a place with downloads (or, is there streaming audio on the site?) check out "Julia" (and no, it's not the OLP one  ). Later...

YES YES!!! Come to Philly Chantal!!!!! I just got her CD in the mail last week and I haven't stopped listening to it since. It's really good. Hopefully she comes to the Philly area cause I'd really love to see her in concert.

I have a question regarding her and Raine's collaboration in What if it all means Something. What songs did Raine contribute to???

Let me go into the "linear notes" for a minute:

Raine co-wrote: "Time", "What If It All Means Something", "Waiting", "Miss April", and "Turn The Page"

also, Jamie Edwards plays guitar on a good number of the songs.

I hope she comes to Boston, because maybe I can then understand why everyone loves her so much. I have "Under These Rocks and Stones" and I love her voice but find nothing interesting about the tunes at all. I can't listen to more than ten seconds of a song at a time.

Now watch her come to Boston and not Philly, I would cry

Rusty nation,

to me she has a heartbreaking voice......very personaly lyrics, and good messages about life, though they are far from happy. She is quite talented without falling into your generic pop audience. Take Vanessa carlton's "A thousand miles" and take off all the cheesy lyrics and give it some heart with a unique voice and that's her. Though I can see why some people think her voice can "break glass".....haha

I've only listened to it 1 and a half times .. the beginning is really good, the first 3 songs and then it starts to get boring .. for some reason her song Waiting reminds me of OLP's Waited and I don't like that :( There seems to be something lacking with this cd .. I dunno

The new CD isn't my favourite either. I like the first half, but I think the second half is kind of weak. I despise Waiting. Ick! I do really love In This Life and Brenda's song. CMAS is still my favourite Chantal album though.

You can order it in the US from http://www.hmv.com , that's what I did! And it's not nearly as bad as everyone is saying! I actually like it a lot...maybe not quite as much as the first 2, but I still don't think there's a bad song on there.
