Next band to go from popular to non-exsistant and back again

Red Hot Chili Peppers did it two times in a row.
OLP did it with the ultimate commercial album now who else sells out?
U2 made it back too.
I think that when STP get back together after Scott's solo album they might go commercial again. I doubt that Pearl Jam will ever make a commercial album ever again. Silverchair might need to do the unthinkable before they get played more. Collective Soul needs a shot in the arm too. Bush also has been really quiet over the last 2 albums.

Guns and Roses
Wallflowers are still non-existent
Blues Traveler did it but they went from big to a new album no one noticed to a new song people liked
Crazy Town came out with a new cd, did anyone notice?

Guns N Roses is dead.
There is no Guns N Roses without Slash and the original members, I say.

Don't SAY that!!!!
... I don't see it happening anyway. Daniel would rather be different than in the spotlight. He doesn't seem to like being famous... at ALL. He's a true tortured artist.

hmm.. i didn't even know people here knew who silverchair WAS...
and i agree with ^^, that's what makes their music GREAT.. he's not doing it just to please crowds and he has the creative talent to sound different and good

I agree, bands should do music they way they want to, Bands should be for the music and not for the fans or money... those are just nice little added extras

He's gonna be a guest guitarist on Fred Durst's new album.
Makes me wanna violently stab myself with fishhooks just thinking about it.

I'm not a HUGE fan of Silverchair .. I really only know a handful of their songs but from articles I've read and from Daniel's views on things .. I doubt very much they'd ever 'sell out' .. that's one band that's truely in this for the love of their fans and their love of making music

I agree that silverchair would never "sell out"
and I think that bush is very much alive (just having a few problems with a band member leaving

) but they are similar to silverchair in the way they care about music, touring and fans and not selling albums (there are very few bands like that).

I'll always love Bush cuz they were my first live concert experience and it was an incredible show but after Razorblade Suitcase they just haven't been around much .. nothing in the news, and I haven't heard of them touring in Canada very much either.

they toured canada just last may.... and they having been touring a lot they just keep a lower profile then most bands which is something I love about them. Plus Gavin's been in the news ALOT, with his solo song and his marrage to gwen...
