I wanted to say indie, but I chose emo, even though it's hard to classify bands as emo.

You should hand out "cheer up emo kid" patches. I sport one, and of course, I pinned it on with Saves The Day, Dashboard Confessional, Alkaline Trio, and Further Seems Forever.
