What To Do When Your Friends Hate You

My so called "friends" are all going to Toronto next week to go skating at Nathan Philips Square, and then go shopping at the Eatons Centre. When I said I could go, they're answer: you weren't invited Brent. Out of 7 people in my group of friends, I'm the only one who isn't in some sort of relationship. So they're all going with their "significant others". And now they just do stuff together and don't let me go anywhere. In fact, they're all at the movies right now. I wasn't invited. I'm also not invited to go to the mall with all of them tomorrow night. One of them told me "hahaha you cant go. you suck you dont have a girlfriend. we'll call you from eatons centre and tell you how much fun we're having and laugh at you" Nice friends I have eh? Life fucking sucks sometimes. Just when it seems like everything is starting to get better, life takes notice and comes back to shit in my face.

They're bastards. First off, look for a new group to immerse yourself in. It's a bitch to do, but it's better than putting up with their shit and staying at home everynight. Hopefully you'll be able to find some good looking girl, kinda like a trophy girlfriend, and show it off to them to make them realize the women they're with are rather plain and unattractive. And if that doesn't work, systematically try to make their lives a living hell. Start doing random, small things to them, but make sure they don't know it's you that's fucking with their minds. After a while, they'll snap and you'll have some bitter revenge, but that will be ok because you have good friends and a piece of ass by your side.

Alan, you are fucking BRILLIANT.

But yes, Brent. I vote yes on new friends. Some Friends! while these seem more like "friends".

Real friends don't do that. Not at all

But seriously, I could never do that. I've known them too long, and everyone has their pre-made groups of friends, and no one really leaves and goes into other groups of friends easily. I'm such a tool. :(

yeah I know what you mean. My school is like 75% stoners. The weird thing is, they're the "popular" ones. If I ever had to find a new group of friends, I don't think I could because there are really only the stoners and then everyone else.

Yeah... I know how that is, but I would rather stay home by myself than go watch their make out fests.

Well Brent, try to use your group for as long as you possibly can. Try as hard as you can to get into another group of friends, I am sure it's possible. I had to do it my senior year. My group just stopped talking to me because this one kid in the group picked a fight with me and I knocked him out. So everyone decided to be his friend, and I got into a group where people treated me like a human being. I still went on spring break with the people who hated me, but besides that, I made an entirely new group of friends with only 4 months left in high school. Just remember, you don't need to put up with the shit of a couple of snobby assholes, they're probably not worth your time or friendship anyways.

PLEASE get new friends. Sure, everyone has their pre-made friends, but still. One weekend go up and say "hey, do you want to ..............with me tomorrow"

If my friends did that to me, I would kick their asses.
On the other hand, realize that couples DO need couples time. There should be a balance though. Don't freak out if your dating friends need alone time, but if its ALL the time, then find new people to hang out with.

Freshman year, my two friends never went anywhere without each other, and often went places without me. So, I started hanging out with more people. Ultimately, it was good, because I didn't have a chance to get pissed at them, and now I have 100X more friends than either of them, because I branched out.

Branching out is good.

i think i have one friend who hasn't ever ditched me.

people are dumb.

i'd much rather be at home by myself than "hanging out."
