Hey, I feel like downloading some Christmas tunes to get into the holiday spirit, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any bands or singers who have recorded covers and such of christmas songs? Right now I'm downloading David Bowie and Bing Crosby's 'Little Drummer Boy'..

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You :-)

BNL and Sarah McLachlan - Christmas Medley (they also do an awesome version of Silent Night)

Adam Sandler - Hannukah Song (versions one and two!)

Jewel - O Holy Night (it's beautiful.)

i can't remember her name - Breath of Heaven

And I'm a sucker for Mannheim Steamroller...

That's technically "John Lennon and Yoko Ono - Merry Xmas (War is Over)"

I'm partial to Futurama's version of Santa Claus is coming to town:

"He knows when you are sleeping,
He knows when you're on the can,
He'll hunt you down and blast your ass from here to Pakistan!
Ooooh, you better not breathe, you better not move
You're better off dead, I'm telling you dude
Santa Claus is gunning you dooooooooown!"

I am buying the Conor Oberst cd for this one girl for Christmas. And about getting into the holiday mood, fuck it, it's not worth it. Save yourself the time and money and just treat it like another pointless day.
