Can anyone here tell the difference between The Hives and The Vines' music? I can't.

the vines' faster stuff sounds like the hives (only better), but the vines have slower stuff, while i think the hives' stuff all sounds the same

Yeah, exactly, and their suck factor is proportional to how much I like the established bands, but not how you'd expect. I like Nirvana a lot, hate the Vines, I'm lukewarm about the Stones, and just don't care for the Hives for the most part.

dude, I don't think The Vines sound ANYTING like Nirvana... download I'm Only Sleeping (beatles cover) by them... it's fabulous.

I think the Vines actually have some talent and room to grow, good musicians; but the hives, meh, crappy vocals and the same ole tired tunes. I hope they crap out rather quickly.

They're from New Zealand. I've only heard a couple of songs by them (of which I can only remember one title 'MF from hell') but they sounded just like the Vines, Hives, etc.
