what i usually do, and i've met them 6 times. I get to the venue about 1pm to 2pm. I go to the back of the building where the tour bus is parked Thats when the crew loads all the equipment into the venue. I gaurantee you'll see them floating around there. They usually do stuff during this time, like get a bite to eat or go out. When i was in Albany, Raine was actually walking to a gym to work out when i caught up to him and chatted for a while. They do soundcheck around 5-5:30pm and by that time security is preety tight around the back, atleast it was for my shows. Every venue is different. Some you might not even be able to get around the back end to where thier tour bus is. Some you might not even see a security gaurd at all.
Good luck
Mark

usually near the backstage area you will see their tour bus. If you don't run into Dicky security you can wait near the bus. If it is a small place wait near the bakstage door area.
I always tell people to get to the clubs early for soundcheks. YOu will see the band going in and out.
To tell you the truth OLP are one band that walks freely among the fans, just wait near the arena, or club( unless it is a big arena), You should see other people waiting and just join them.
I have a great track record when it comes to meeting the band.

In London their bus was parked behind the arena and in the afternoon like 1-2ish, can't remember .. they started showing up in their cars and all of them (except for Raine) came to the fence to chat with the fans and take pictures for awhile. Even Chantal came over to say hi

Steve came out after the show in the same spot to chat for awhile too.
In Sarnia their bus was behind a fence that was kept locked and guarded but Raine stuck his head out for awhile to chat ..

Both of the times I saw OLP I just waited before the show. I think it's better before the show because the band have more time and it's less crowded, whereas after the show they might be in a hurry to start off to the next destination or have other arrangements and there are more fans waiting.
I met Mike and Raine at the London Borderline, June 9th 1998 and Raine again on December 9th 1999, at the MEN arena in Manchester.

I should've tried in Detroit. My car was parked right near the tourbus since I have connections, but my dad took me to the concert (ok so none of my friends like OLP?) and didn't want to wait til they came out.

Whoever said to go around 1:00 - 2:00 was dead on. I went to Villanova around 2:00pm, and wound up hanging out with Jeremy for two and a half hours (til he had to go to soundcheck). Steve, Duncan, and Mike all just wandered through and talked for a bit, as well. Before shows they seem to have a lot of free time, so just wander around talking to fans and stuff.

I must remember this the next time OLP comes to Detroit.
Emily has connections....
We tried soooooo hard to get to the tour bus, but the stupid security guy gave us a hard time and wouldn't let us go.

That was a good day. Me, Bethany, Miro, Kruno, and Sandeep all hung out and tried to get to the tour bus. The day got progressively worse as soon as more people started showing up.

Yeah, I got to park in the parking lot right to the right of the State Theatre, cuz my dad knows like the manager or whatever of the Fox Theatre, so we got to park there. But I think the tour bus was just a little farther back, maybe 20 feet, from where we were parked.

Probably sleeping. He was still at the hotel. Didn't even show up for soundcheck, I don't think. He was sick, though, so he had a good excuse for being lazy.

I had 2 chances to meet OLP, but it never happend.
First chance:
At the NYC concert on August 14th, it was my first OLP concert...anyways, my dad works for the transit authority and was helping out the police when Audiovents tour bus hit a lady in the street < she was arguing with her husband>. Anyways, greenwheel came out after they played...and my dad spoke to them for awhile..g ot some stuff signed by them. then my dad met the tour manager...he showed my dad their <OLP> tour bus... told him all the dates that they were going to play next..and he gave him 2 tickets...2 box seat tickets for that night's show...and a free pass to go meet OLP after the show was over. My dad came in the hammerstein to try to find us...but couldn't...so the tickets wen't to waste...anways...when we came out..my dad says " hey!! i got a free pass to meet Our Lady Peace!"
We were on way to go meet OLP, when a cop said we had to leave because they had to clean up the streets.....too much traffic.
I was so mad....I was like half yellling and half crying.
Second chance:
On my second OLP concert...at the webster theatre on October 20th, the tour bus, like Cathy said, was parked literally right in the middle of the street... we waited there for alittle while..but then were forced to leave because it was getting too rowdy or something... that wasn't a big thing...we never actually had a chance...
this has nothing to do with meeting OLP...but the CT show...during the middle of 4 am..when Raine was holding up the mic...my brother held out his hand and made a fist...kinda to imitate raine...and raine looked directly at him.. then at me..and smiled...and then he ppointed the mic stand at us....it was soooo cool. I had so much fun those 2 times...I hope I get to go again on feb 8th...
Sorry the post is so long...
