Anyone getting any new CD's this week? I have four new releases that I am picking up this week at Best Buy...

Disturbed - Believe
Lifehouse - Stanley Climbfall
Ok Go
Theory Of A Deadman

According to the Best Buy website, the total of these four CD's comes to $33.96, which isn't bad at all.

I still need to get the first Lifehouse CD. After Hanging In A Moment I wasn't impressed, but then I heard Simon, Breathing, and Sick Cycle Carousel and I fell in love.

yeaaa, there is a best buy opening up in Woodbridge right across the street where i work and my friends brother works there, so maybe he can get me some discounts.

The shipper/reciever guy at my work got a job at the Downsview location of Best Buy. Everyone is leaving sport mart. No one loves me anymore :(

Hey.... maybe I can get a job at Best Buy!! I've been looking for a job for some time now. I applied at 17 places, and no phone calls... :( But Best Buy would be great! That store is everything I live for!

I think they have pretty much hired everyone already. You have to apply to stores prior to before they open to ensure lots of positions.

speaking of jobs, we are getting at least 4 new boys at work

Yeah but the place hasn't even started to be built yet. :)

ohh, ok, then in that case, you might be in luck. Check the newspaper to see if there is anything in the classifieds about them hiring.

I recently saw Lifehouse in concert, and they played some stuff from their new album. It was good, but pretty much exactly the same as their first album. As my friend said, "I think they played the same song 15 times..." So I doubt I'll buy it.

theory of a deadman played our "week of welcome" dance at the university this year. i was standing in the beer gardens at school and this chick runs up to me and says

"you, i've been looking for you all day"

"you have...?"

"yup! i bet you want to buy a ticket to the week of welcome dance"

"actually... no."

"but they're only 10 dollars! theory of a deadman, rake and shocore are going to be there (in other words, nickelback 1, 2 and 3.)"

"yeah, but they all suck."

"what? i saw you bobbing your head there a minute ago. (they are vamping theory of a deadman in the gardens)"

"that was my sarcasm dance."

"well who would you like to see, then?"

"you had david usher last year. that was awesome. how about pete yorn?"

"i wanted stompin tom connors but it got vetoed. o well, thanks anyways"

their CD is on sale at future shop for 5 bucks on tuesday. i guess it's "actual worth of music" pricing over there now.

best buy sucks its circuit city all the way... by the way does anybody have any info on the John Mayer cd i saw advertised in a few adds?

I think that John Mayer disc is full of stuff he released prior to Room For Squares. I know it's for sure not a new studio album. The record company is just striking while the iron is hot, getting rid of some of his old material why people will buy it. They did the same thing with Nickelback, David Gray and various other artists.

The couple of times I've been to circuit city they weren't near as neat as best buy. The staff wasn't as friendly, and when I was shopping for a cd burner, all of the ones I had looked at in Best Buy where 20-50 bucks more expensive at Circuit City.

Hmmm...

Anyway.

The lifehouse thing makes me sad. I was hoping they'd be something more. :(

Comparing Best Buy to Circuit City is like comparing Led Zeppelin to Vanilla Ice. Best Buy is so much better! They have more CD's, more DVD's, better store facilities, nicer employees, etc. It's no contest!

Last time I went to Circuit City, I was trying to buy some movies I wanted...I only found 2 that I wanted.

Best Buy has a HUGE selection, and it's also ORGANIZED.
