hmm, well the thing about dredg is that their whole album is kinda like one big composition that just flows and its all way different. but some random good tracks are:
Traversing through the arctic cold we search for the spirit of Yuta
Penguins in the Desert
and Yatahaze
this band just never ceases to boggle my mind when i listen to them, they're all about the music and thats just so admirable, definately do check em out.

They are playing with Brandnew at Birch Hill but that place is too much of a dump to go back to unless its for OLP. I think they are both playing at the concert in Medford with Thursday on my birthday

yeah, i would've gone to see em at Birch Hill but they're playing a concert with Taproot and Deadsy in some puny club in the city next Tuesday so i'm goin to that. i can't freakin wait, i love Taproot, and Dredg live is gonna be amazing.
but what is this concert you speak of with Thursday? in MEDFORD?? are you sure its not some other band? cause on Dredg's website it says they're playing with Taproot and Deadsy for the next few months straight, but it wouldn't be the first time a bands website was wrong if they weren't..

so dredg in concert:
awesome. amazing. ingenious.
they're so freakin resourceful. during one song the singer wanted to distort his voice, so he sang into a TRUMPET and held the mic in the bell. the coolest thing ever.
then in another song he played an actual saw. he was sawing something (i couldn't see what) with it and holding the mic up to it and then he started adding that kinda "bo-oi-oing" noise that a saw makes when u wiggle it in the background. and then he just started beating something (again i couldn't see what) with the saw. the coolest sound effects ever, and the rest of the music was just as incredible. it blew my mind

here i go again, ressurecting my dredg thread that no one cares about but... the new album is out!!! go and buy it kiddies, it's called El Cielo and it's in a Best Buy near you, just waiting for you to come and take it home!
my review of it:
not quite as artful as their previousl album. there aren't as many instrumental tracks and the vocals are more prominent throughout the album, which is good, but then again it was cool on the last album when vocals were doing crazy chanting things and supporting guitar, instead of the other way around.
(and just as a side note, i got some RHCP vibes from a few of the songs, strangely enough
)
but still this album captures the greatness that is dredg and plays more like a continuous symphony of rock than 16 separate songs. It is beautiful inside and out, and definately worth picking up.

off the old album, 'Leitmotif':
Movement II: crosswind minuet
traversing through the arctic cold we search for the spirit of yuta
yatahaze
off the new album, 'el cielo':
5. (the title of this one is simply a triangle, so i guess you could just search for it as 'delta')
6. Sorry but it's over
9. Eighteen People living in harmony
13. brushstroke: an elephant in the delta waves
14. it only took a day
