all i gotta say is definatley one of the best bands from my generation...... even if you're not into hard rock like that take a look at the lyrics.... very very well written..... maynard is a goddamn genius.
A Perfect Circle kicks some major ass as well.

I've heard a few Tool songs and I was impressed.
I really like the APC songs that I've heard. I think I'm going to pick up Mer de Norm (that's the name right?).

Kick ass album........amazing band. When they start back up everyone try to see them live, its incredible.

I've listened to most of Tool's stuff. They're definitely talented, but I can't get into their older stuff at all. I like their newer material a bit more, I think.

The only problem with Tool is the vast majority of their fans probably like them because they're "heavy". I can't stand metalheads.
But Tool is beautiful..

Anyone who misses out on what Tool has to offer has missed out on much more than they will ever know. They're not even my favorite band but what they've done is phenomenal and undeniably genius.
I don't like metal either. I don't really consider Tool metal; they're really their own thing. Even though there's some band called Earshot trying to cop their sound, there's really nothing like them.

I really dont like tool, totally not what I'm in to, but I just won 2 tickets from the radio station here in Ottawa to see them on the 24th (of august).
I guess I'll sell them...I was filling out a ballot to win the Dave Matthews CD and decided I'd answer the Tool trivia question, got it right and won. I feel like an asshole lol, I dont even like them and I won...(like, if that happened with OLP tix i would be soooo mad, lol). Well, I guess there general admission, I'll just sell them for cheaper than ticketmaster, so some tool fan can see them for cheaper and i can have money for camp stuff. lol

I guess their lyrics are alright. I've seen better lyrics, though. Joy Division's lyrics are just as good, if not better.

Well, for what its worth, I wouldn't consider Tool "heavy", and..I wouldn't agree that most of their fanbase consists of 'metalheads.' Anyway, most fans that I know appreciate Tool for their artistic value. And everyone knows that brilliant minds make beautiful music.
