I just use Windows Media Player. Is Winamp a lot better?

Yeah, Winamp's cool. I don't care for skins, but from what I understand Winamp uses a hell of a lot less processing time than many other players. It doesn't have all the unwanted crap.

I don't see why everyone thinks WinAmp is so great. It's not bad, but it's nothing really special to me. Am I missing something really cool?

I use the media player, but I used to use Winamp, which is great, I just am simple when it comes to music.
Play it, play it well. I don't need skinz and stuff.
Oh, and with WMP you can copy cd songs to your HD and pick the quality you want. I just did the Strokes.

I've used the same version for several years. I updated it when I got a new computer last October, though.

It's...weird. You can use skins that aren't the average rectangle; you can get them in all different shapes and sizes...I'll try and give you an example. It might be a little oo fancy for someone who just likes using the default skin..
