Coming up from Birmingham, AL for the show! How is the venue? Looks really small in the pics online.

There's also a wraparound balcony upstairs.

It's sold out and it's VERY small, so get there early for a good spot.

hard to say. It's a really casual venue and there is an opener. But I would suggest getting there by 6-6:15.

Does this venue have any security? Ha. On all the pictures, people are right against the stage. Hopefully it'll be like that for OLP.

I've never been anywhere but front and center at an OLP show, I don't plan changing that now.

no not really. it's a glorified bar. One of the smallest venues in Chicago.

Yeah same here. From looking at the pics I'm not even sure the video screens they've been using on this tour will fit on that stage. Nevertheless...should be a unique show in such a small venue.

Yeah, this is gonna be one of the most intimate shows I've been to. Looking forward to it. Still not sure if ill bring an expensive camera along tho.

hoping I get to go... since i had a camera get beer dumped on it and me at another venue in chicago I'd be wary to bring an expensive camera into a small venue/bar, although prior to a month ago I'd probably have had no qualms about doing so.... see y'all tomorrow

It's my understanding that OLP are cool with taping, right? They just don't inform the venue I hear.

Also are they ok with video? I'll go all out if they aren't going to shut me down.

They've never had an official comment on it. They've also never stopped it in the past. However, if you get busted by security, it's all on you. As for video, stealth or point and shoot. How much video you can get will depend on what the venue let's you get by with.

pretty sure SubT doesn't give a crap. I'd just be clamping it to my mic stand at the soundboard. So it's really on the band's sound guy as to whether it's allowed.

Super nice guy, but I wouldn't ask him unless I knew him well. Not to mention he stays very busy. Just him and one instrument tech keeping the sound right.

Cool. Well I am not going to ask, I'm just going to set up. If he talks to me and says no video, I'll just pull it down.

Make a badge and put it on a lanyard. Always works. I git backstage at few festivals that way. Ha.
