O.J Simpson finally found guilty

As many of you know by now O.J was found guilty of 12 counts of Kidnapping and Robbery.. He could get life in jail.

Does anyone else find this almost poetic justice.? I really did not pay attention to the murder trial, but even so it was everywhere. I was also in California the day the verdict from that trial came out. It was so surreal.

I find it odd how he was not convicted of murder-which everyone(excpet the jury) thought he was guilty, yet he is found guilty of much lesser charges. Goes to prove.. Criminals will eventually screw up and get caught.

I haven't been following - was this all from him killing his wife and that guy? I mean, how could he get 12 counts of kidnapping and robbery for what, four people max (including his kids)? Were there more robbery charges than kidnapping or something?

Also, wouldn't double-jeopardy be attached here? He was found not-guilty of murder what, like 10 years ago? I don't see how they could charge him for it again, unless it was brought under a different charge...

No, this is from the kidnapping and armed robbery in Las Vegas.

 I avoid this kind of news whenever I can and even I knew about it. Methinks you should watch CNN a little more! ;)

Don't know much of the details, but I can't help but think the jury found him guilty partially because of him getting off on the murder. Yeah, juries are supposed to be un-biased, but there's no way they could've not known about the previous trial. I was at a freaking Renaissance Faire when the verdict was announced and knew about it within seconds of it happening.

I read CNN regularly when I'm at work, but if this has been going on within the last month, then I have no idea. I stay away from the news because it depresses me. The only reason I read CNN when I'm at work is because I'm bored. And I'm only at work for a couple months out of the year.

I remember when this happened, but only because Conan kept doing joke chase-scenes with Matchbox cars.

I think this has been in the news off and on for about a year. Probably easy to have missed it though.

If memory serves me right. OJ gave the guy some sports items that were his and stuff he aquired. OJ claims he never gave it to the guy and was taking it back

You were all talking about CNN.. I was having a conversation with a co-worker today. When I was younger there was no such thing as internet, cable news etc. Now you have so many different channels to choose from. I have ( I think) 6 all news stations on my cable.. I also have 2 local new stations, 1 spanish news station and the newworks.

Everything is on line now it seems the second it happens..

I was merely asking if people think he got a fare trial or people used the past to come to this verdict..

I really do not care one way or other,.

All I will say is if someone commits a crime they will eventually do the time if they continue in a life of crime.

Alot of people feel he was set up because of his color.. They play the race card..

I think OJ lost alot of credibility over the years. Sad, really sad..

O.J. was acquitted back in 1995. Whether we agree with it or not; who are we to denounce him. None of us were there. None of us saw what happened. Whether the jury was bias or un-biased. That's how our fucked up criminal justice system rolls.

I, for one, was one of them back in 1995 who didn't think O.J. was guilty. I didn't. I got the chance to meet O.J. at a card signing, and whether he really did do it (or not) I was one person he had fooled into thinking he could never do such a thing. Maybe he did? Maybe he didn't.

However without a shadow of a doubt I believe he was guilty in this trial. O.J. did nothing to honestly defend himself properly as to what exactly happened in Las Vegas. And again with this trial the jury could have likely been biased. Its very possible. Or un-biased.

I think I just have a lot of bitterness toward our justice system.

I honestly think he is guilty for both acts. Obviously for the kidnapping and robbery, but also the murder over ten years ago. I had always had feeling he did it, but it has been solidified in the past few years. For Christ's sake, he wrote a book about if he committed murder, that's the way he would have done it. My guess is that was his way of coping with the guilt...

On whether or not his sentence was based on the murder, I believe it could have conflicted opinions a bit. I mean, how could it not? I do believe he is guilty though, and that's all that really matters. Opinions may have gotten involved, but that doesn't make the verdict wrong. Some people are going to assume innocent, others guilty. But either way, he did it or he didn't. Somebody's going to be right (which I think they were). Sure, some people may get the wrong end of the deal in situations like this, but in this case, I believe it all worked out. Karma finally came back to bite him in the ass.

You're all missing the point. The man couldn't be guilty, he serves and protects! The only one who knows the truth is Leslie Nielson. He was his partner after all!
