Hi all,
Tom (locobone) and I are going to the Ours concert in Buffalo, NY (at the Tralf) on 9/17. For those who are unfamiliar, Ours is Jimmy Gnecco's band. Jimmy did a lot of work with Neverending White Lights, which is where I first heard him and found out about Ours. I'm super excited.

Is anyone else going to be around Buffalo at the time? Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster, they're $15 each (plus TM's fees), which is pretty sweet.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks to OLP for getting me into Ours!

I saw them down here last year. I think they are from New Jersey. One of my friends is a huge fan and somewhat friends with them. I got to meet Jimmy.. He was pretty cool to me..

I know he does solo stuff from time to time. I am not much into them though. They were good when I saw them..

So this show last night was mind-blowing. First of all, I never realized Jimmy was so short and skinny! He looks so different in the pictures I've seen. It was hilarious watching him jump around on stage. So much energy! It was amazing to see them all perform, I am very unfamiliar with the band itself but now I want to get to know them better. I bought the new Mercy CD, and a couple t-shirts, and a sticker for my car. Yes, I am very satisfied with my concert experience. If you get the chance, you should really consider going to see them live! Jimmy also promised no more summer tours because he can't sing with the A/C on and it was SO HOT in the club everyone was sweating and gross.

I hope they do another tour soon, because seriously, one of the best shows I've ever been to. I can't wait to do it again.

I believe it's the same tour, but they took like a month off because they were burnt out. That's what Jimmy said anyway. He said he spent a week or two in Hawaii drinking every day and "swimming in the ocean naked with my sixteen year old son. It's not like that guys. We're just weird." It was hilarious.

I would've taken pics with my digital camera but it melted in my hand. Holy Jesus, was it hot in there.

I was doing my bi-monthly lurk and saw this thread. I saw Ours like 5 or 6 years ago in Detroit and they were amazing live. They played for about 2 hours. Too bad I can't find any of there stuff to d/l.

Also, you can try to d/l it from me off the Hub if you tell me when you'd be on. Although I think I'm in passive mode (can't figure out how to change it to active), so I'm not sure you'd be able to!
