Montreal calling

So the last weekend of the month I'm flying out to Vermont to buy a new car then driving it all the way back to Ohio.
2005 Artic Blue Pearl TSX for those that must know.
Looking at Google maps Montreal is only 1.5 - 2 hours north of Burlington, VT so I figure why not test out my newly aquired passport and check things out.
So what kind of tourist traps does Montreal have to offer? I need to find some scenic backdrops to take the first snapshots of my new car at.

I'm in Montreal right now! Scenic backdrops? I'm not sure what you're looking for/good places to specifically take car photos but maybe by the waterfront? In front of the Notre Dame Basilica? Go to old Montreal and there are plenty of interesting places to take photos.

How long will you be there?
What area is Old Montreal? Know any street names in that area off hand?
Waterfront is always a good spot for car pics.
I'll have to check google see if they've done street view for the city.

I'm here until July 4. Old Montreal is south of Boulevard Renee Levesque and west of Boulevard St-Laurent (which is a pretty cool street for cafes and bars and such). The old part of town is pretty small ... Wikipedia tells me "the area is usually thought of as being bounded to the west by McGill St., to the north by Saint Antoine St., to the east by Berri St., and to the south by the Saint Lawrence River." So that should give you an idea if you check it out on a map.

I shall do that tomorrow if I get the chance.
Looked around a bit and there looks to be a small island on the east side I might be able to snap some sweet sklyline pictures.
Notre Dame Basilica looks amazing as well.
What are you up to Sat afternoon/evening on the 28th?

Brian had his first poutine today - though he somehow managed to get a mouthful of cheese and gravy without any fries.
I'm so proud
