I was in the seventh row in left field. It was quite amazing being there. It makes me love baseball all over again. So good.

Now we need a quick wrap up of the NLCS. i can't stand that they'll have to wait about a week without playing.

I was at game 4 agaist the Yankees. It was also quite amazing.

Well, if the Mets/Cardinals were actually good and swept the series, they would have to wait also. This is why I hate MLB's scheduling.

I am also skipping school to get tickets to game 2 of the World Series. I will be there, undoubtedly having a heart attack.

Jealous of the both of you.

I'm defintley going to try and get a set of WS tix if not I'll be up to watch the game at Hockeytown Cafe or Chelli's Chilli

I wasn't able to make it up for any of the Stanley Cup win celebrations, I defintley am not going to miss out on any World Series celebrations.

Detroit's going to win the World Series. Not like I was very happy that they continually overshadowed my White Sox this year, but the last few years the team that won the WS wasn't supposed to at the beginning of the season:

2003 - Floriday Marlins. Came out of nowhere, won the wild card, crushed Cubs dreams, and beat the Yankees? Come on.

2004 - Boston Red Sox. Enough said.

2005 - Chicago White Sox. Worse history than the BoSox. Hadn't been to the World Series since 1959. My mother was three years old then. A lot of your mothers were probably not even a glimmer in your grandfather's eye yet.

2006 - Detroit Tigers. I've been watching baseball since I was eight years old, and the Tigers have always been a joke. Their 119 loss season or whatever it was wasn't even a surprise. That's how bad they've been for the last couple decades. At least the Marlins won the WS in '97 and Boston and ChiSox have had winning seasons. Nobody would've guessed the Tigers would be AL champs. And after seeing them interacting with the crowd when they beat the Yankees, I pretty much have a feeling it's their time.

Someone quote me when I prove to be right.

you can't honestly think this is a big call at this point.

I'm a little unsettled by how long they have to wait; they havent gone this long between games all season. but if they can get out of the gate strong they should be fine.

It's a plus for our pitches to give their arms a rest especially for Zum Zum Zumaya.
But I do share the same concern as far as 'sharpness' goes.

I'm sure Leyland will keep them in check.

On a seperate notes I tried to score tickets this morning but no luck. :(

I got lucky and got standing room only tickets for game 2. So I will be there. God, I am excited for this.

Sure it is. If the Mets go to the WS, betting odds will still undoubtedly be against Detroit to win. If the Cardinals go however, that's another story.

And don't get unsettled by the long rest. The White Sox had to wait awhile too last year, and that didn't stop them from sweeping.

Figures that a team who had a worse record than my favorite team who didn't even make the playoffs would win the World Series.
