wow, I just saw this.

I read all the hype as it happened, from back when the movie was first announced on Fark.com

at first I played along with the hype, but soon I just got bored of it and decided that I didn't really care any more

but my friends just started hearing about it not too long ago, so they were all excited, so we went to see it.

I went in somewhat sceptical.

but god damn, that was a great motherfuckin' movie.

as long as you can take the ridiculously stupid plot with a grain of salt and just be ready to laugh at the stupidity, it's actually really good. even though we were laughing at how stupid the plot was, we definitely got caught up in the action. the movie was really well done.

very entertaining the whole way through. definitely recommend seeing it.

especially good if only half the theatre has kept up with all the hype along the way, since you'll hear that half laughing most of the way through the movie, and cheering at a couple of key Sam motherfuckin' L moments.

Haha, why? This was a great movie, total summer no brainer movie. This is the first time I've been to the movies in a long time where I've had such a fun time.

This movie MIGHT be better than Gingerdead Man (starring Garey Busey), but DEFINITELY better than Motor Home Massacre (although that one was amazing too).

I looked it up, and that company apparently makes a bunch of rip-off movies. or something. I'm not really 100% clear on what they do or how they do it.

I saw it. I went to the Paramount theatre near Muchmusic for the first screening of it and the place was packed. People brough fake plustic/rubber snakes and they were hissing and cheering. It was the first movie I've ever gone to where the audience really got into it.

The actual movie was good. Pretty cheesy in some places, but you take it with a grain of salt. Afterwards it made me wonder if this might be our generations version of Rocky Horror Picture Show, where people will gather en masse and bring props and such.

well, I don't think it will be as big as Rocky Horror Picture Show. this fad will pass much faster

I heard about the rip-off versions of movies a few weeks ago on my way home from work. They are called "mockbusters", made by The Asylum, as previously linked. I told Heather the other day that even though it has the stupidest plot ever, it might be a good movie, just shrouded by the negative hype.

I chose to see Little Miss Sunshine instead.

Now that was a great movie.

If it was playing here I would have definitely seen it. As it is, I have to wait for the DVD.

That happened to me too! I made a special effort to see it while it was in Toronto and then it opened here Friday. I need to go again and bring friends.

I'm seeing SoaP tomorrow and am really rather excited.

With an additional $1.4-million from late-night shows last Thursday, Snakes took in enough to win first place in the weekend's box-office race, but the tally was 50 per cent less than some forecasts.
