It seems that the transparency was working...
I didn't do anything to it either...
So um if that's not how it should look, let me know eh...

yeah, that's as good as i can get, too. it's ideally supposed to look like it does in the original, with fading transparency instead of dithered. but oh well. thank you for trying, though!

Yeah but someone left Panic...Alias is over, lost is on summer break...I dont listen to most of those bands anymore except MCS...therefore it is time to update.
I haven't been stealing many icons lately, so I don't know if I'll be able to make a new one. I'll have to start looking around.

It could be that the picture was set at 100% dither... I didn't try reducing that to zero... it seems that your current avatar is working though.

my current one is working because i gave up and set it at a black matte instead of transparency.
i'm not sure it's even possible to do fading transparency in gifs.
