question: TICKET woes.

I suppose this would best go under concert experiences?

Here's my question.... I bought the tickets to edgefest off of Ebay.
Well, she is emailing me .pdf files?
I guess I'm just not cool enough to know what this is..... do we just print these tickets off and show them at the gate? And it works? It's the same as a real ticket in hand?

it all seems so sketchy to me...

Yeah the pdf tickets work, as long as she's not selling/giving them to more than one person. Assuming they scan tickets at this venue, once they are scanned at the gate, someone else who tries with the same printout won't get in.

yeah that's what i was afraid of....so i asked her to send me the actual tickets too as she has them.

ticketmaster doesn't give you printouts plus real tickets, you have to choose one or the other.

"Buyer will receive a .pdf file by email to print tickets at home. A printed copy of the ticket can also be sent to the buyer, if requested, postage included."

that's what she said on the listing.
maybe she didn't get it through ticket master?

I read that to mean that she'll print and mail it to you if you like... rather than you printing it on your own. It would still be the PDF file.

And I don't think tickets were available anywhere else.

oooh...okay...so she can have the real tickets and then the print off copy? she's going to email me the pdf. but i thought that seemed sketchy

If she said she has the PDF then she would not have received real tickets in the mail. I think she's saying she'll email you the PDF to print yourself OR she'll print off the PDF file and send it to you. Either way you get 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of paper which are the tickets.

Just make sure you have Adobe Acrobat Reader or you won't be able to view them.

haha i do, but wouldn't that suck...

wow i really don't think i like this pdf option....what if this person sold a bunch of other copies on ebay and we're all going out there expecting our front row seats....

...btw, are they strict about cameras there?

I think cameras will be okay. The tickets say "no recorders/audio/video"

If I bought tix on ebay and got the pdf file kind, I'd make sure I was there when doors opened to get my ticket scanned first!

Well if the tickets say no recorders audio/video then a digital camera should be fine, shouldn't it?
