He's definitely the pride of the nation; what's even better is that he's an unbelievably classy act.

"Nash praised his teammates and coaching staff for "a perfect environment for me to succeed and for our team to succeed, and for me to stand here today."

It's still about Phoenix and modesty.

what a guy

for the last five years whichever team that has had Steve Nash has led the NBA in team scoring.

Even inspite of losing their best scoring weapon for the year Phoenix still led the NBA. That alone should be enough to get him the award.

Only problem I had with the vote is that I don't think Kobe got anywhere near enough credit for the season he had. 4th place in the voting is ridiculous.

This is great. With all the crap and player mentalities that exists in the NBA, albiet some unwarranted, Steve Nash is a breath of fresh air.

A guy on my basketball team is friends, well not really friends, more like "acquaintances" since they don't see each other anymore, but they were friends in high school.

Nash deserved the award......

Plus, seeing a white guy win the MVP still gives hope to all other white guys out there......that we can still be great in professional sports.

there was a giant picture of him on the front page of yesterday's toronto star, and it was sitting folded on the table so all i could see was his chin, and i thought it was a picture of Paula Abdul :D
