Yea, I plan on moving to Vancouver for school in September... It'll be my 3rd school and 4th program in my life (*sigh).Hoping fro some background information. How's the rent? Grocery prices? I mean in Toronto rent can be as low as 350/month in crappier neighbourhoods and I can score some groceries in Chinatown for supercheap... Anything like that in Vancouver (I know the huuuuuge Asian population, but is there a nice and cheap Chinatown?). Uh, what's fun? Any recommendations? Ideas? Thanks!

i don't exactly know what your plan is, but this might be a helpful site:

Groceries are usually $100-150 a month, depending on whether you're thrifty or not.
You might be able to find a seedy joint for $350. But there are some decent shared apartments/suites to be had for $450-600 range plus utilities.
Which is quite high when you compare that to me renting a whole house for $625 a month plus utilities

Oooh that site is pretty sweet. Where would Simon Frasier be located on there?
[edit] maps.google.com-ed it... Wow, the two schools are far apart. Oh boy. Thanks! Rent is my biggest concern right now. I hate paying rent... almost as much as I hate paying taxes.
