Okay, so I was having a hard time keeping track of London concert-goers in the other threads.
I'll be sitting in FLR2 row E (and I have to sell my row J's).
Can't wait to meet up

I have a friend who works at the JLC, and he's worked for the promoter putting on this show before...so fingers crossed for a soundcheck or something! I hope!

For those of you hitting the London and Kitchener shows...has anyone started looking into hotels yet? I'm not familiar with the area so any info on where to stay in town would be great. Just quickly looking at hotwire, they have a 3 star hotel for $96 and a 2 Star for $66. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something functional, economical, and close to the arena.

The floor is all assigned seating, not GA. Do you know what seats you've got?

I am curious about hotels too. Any suggestions Kathy?

I know the hotels nearby and have stayed in a couple. There's a Comfort Inn, which I think is the cheapest one but we had an awful stay there once. There's also a Hilton and the Delta Armoury. These are all within 1km of JLC. I definitely want to be able to park at the hotel, walk to dinner, walk to the show, etc, and not have to drive around.
Hhmm... wonder where the boys will stay.
We haven't decided if we're going to find a cheap place or stay somewhere nicer... it's just the one night so we might try to stay somewhere decent. We like having these little getaways every now and again.

Kathy,
As always, you rock. I agree that these little getaways are great. I think I'll look into the Hilton and the Delta. Rich works a LOT, so we don't get away as much as we should and we're only hitting one show.
Thanks again! I'll look into pricing for both and report back to you and everyone.

P.S. Both the Hilton and Delta are only 1/2 mile from the venue. The Delta is even on the same street.

hey everyone, I didn't realize there haven't been any updates to this thread for awhile. I've been talking about London by email with people though.
Lindsay and I are booked at the Delta London Armoury for the night.
We'll have to make plans to meet up before and/or after the show.
Edit: P.S. Three weeks from tomorrow

This thread scared me for a second because I hadn't seen it before and I'll be in London (England) on that day. I thought it was Susie's doing, but it's not, but i wanted to share that and that's that.

haha it's ok. I also forgot what day me and Susie were going out for dinner and thought she dedicated a whole thread to that, but no worries.

haha!
Are you from Peterboroough, or going to school there? Just curious. I've been up there a lot, although not lately.

I go to school here at Trent. Most people only go to Peterborough if it's near their cottage though, so I'm guessing that's why you've been up here.

my mom grew up in Lindsay and Peterborough, so we used to go up there every year to see family. Then I had friends who went to school up there (Fleming) when I was at WLU, so I went up to visit often. Now I'm rarely in the area unless it's a cottage trip.
