A Question for Oasis fans (Nikki)

I just heard Fuckin' in the Bushes, and frankly, I love it. I always did when it played in Snatch, but I never knew it was Oasis...
and now I'm wondering if there are any albums I could buy with songs with that similar sound and attitude...
if most of their songs have that sound and attitude...I chalk up my ignorance to, well...ignorance.

Oh wow umm... not really.

That one's kind of a random track that sounds like nothing else they've done. Their catalogue's more diverse than most people would think, though. I mean, it's not like OLP's or anything, but it's enough to make listening to all their stuff not boring.
Anyway, the album that's from is "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants", which would probably be the first you should listen to if you like that song. It's a bit... darker feeling than their other albums.

In my opinion Standing On the Shoulder of Giants is probably Oasis' worst album. There's a couple of ok songs on it, but nothing that really stands out. So I deffinitly wouldn't judge them by that album. If you like the electronic sound of Oasis with the drum loops check out the songs "The Cage", "Teotihuacan" or "I Can See It Now". But if you're looking for an album with more of a swagger to it... check out "Deffintely Maybe"

"Teotihuacan" isn't really an Oasis song, though. I thought about suggesting it, but... is it even readily available for download anywhere? I've had problems just finding "Keep What You Got", which is the Ian Brown song using "Teotihuacan", and considering it was a single, I'd think that should be easy to get a hold of.
"The Cage" might be hard for him to get a hold of with that name (though maybe people have it labelled that way on file sharing programs... haven't really checked), plus it doesn't seem like what he's looking for to me... much much more laid back and not electronic sounding at all. Love it, though.
Similarly, "Can Y'See It Now (I Can See It Now)" doesn't really have the same vibe as Bushes to me at all. Only similarity is the repitition of the spoken "lyrics".
In short, I still stick to my original statement.

My friends are going to Toronto to see Oasis. We live in BC. And they're going to Toronto. For one concert.
wtf.

Devoted Oasis fans you have for friends, eh?

the reason I liked Fuckin' in the Bushes had nothing to do with an electronic sound...it was more the rock-out sound of it...one of those one-off songs bands sometimes get...that go well with soundtracks, I guess...
Anyway, I picked up the album, and I enjoyed it.
The thing is, I'm not really looking for particular songs, because I really can't download songs because I don't have internet anywhere that I can use filesharing or anything, so I'm basically stuck with actually going out and buying music...scandalous, I know

Yay for buying music! It's a lost artform these days.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the album.

You should check out some more of their stuff, cos that probably is the least popular album among fans (though I love it... but Oasis has never disappointed me, personally).

I'd recommend their latest album, Don't Believe the Truth, not because it sounds anything like Fuckin In The Bushes, but because its a really good album. There's some really great songs on it, so if you've wet your appetite, try it out.

But the weird thing is that I wouldn't really even define them as Oasis fans. I mean, one of them has the new album and loves it and the other one puts Oasis songs on mixed cds every once in a while, but I don't really see that as being devoted fans.
I think they're just rediculous.
