The CIA has just confirmed that a recent audio tape is indeed from Osama Bin Laden. In this message, Bin Laden is claiming that al-Qaida is making preparations to attack the United States again

Get Firefox already.

Although there's no reason it shouldn't work...

I'd rather a few random websites freeze IE than get Firefox and have other stuff (live certain videos) not work. :P

A simple plugin and you can right-click to open whatever page you're viewing in IE.

Also, that's not the issue with that page since it's MSN (an IE-favouring page)

*hates the state of the world today*

This kind of thing makes me want to go crawl into a cave. Or maybe my boyfriend and I should follow through on those moving to New Zealand plans we were joking about.

he ... doesn't

That would be kind of like going up to the biggest guy in the bar and telling him you're going to kick him in the balls in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

You'd never make it past 3.

As opposed to when?

30 yrs ago we had Vietnam
40 yrs ago the Korean
50 yrs ago WW2
85 yrs ago WW1

The world hasn't changed my dear, only the method of conflict.

I wasn't alive any of those times. I'm talking about compared to the rest of my life.

Plus now technology has advanced to the point where lots more people have access to weapons that could destroy the world. I don't just fear for America. I think Kim Jong Il is the one that scares me most, as he's probably just crazy enough to do it.

(I'm avidly anti-nukes, in case you can't tell)

There is something wrong when the world's political activity resembles 24.

Well, I think the point of 24 is to resemble the world's political activity...

Thats what you think!!

If camera's followed Bush around for 24 hours during a crisis...well it would be entertaining television but in another way.

“If I were president, I would stop the attacks on the United States: First I would apologize to all the widows and orphans and those who were tortured. Then I would announce that American interference in the nations of the world has ended,” [bin Laden] said.

That doesn't seem unreasonable. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I agree with his methods of getting what he wants by any means, but so many of the conditions he makes seem like things we (the U.S.) should be doing anyway.

well, that would make bin laden happy, but what about the other million or so that we've pissed off?
