Hey, I don't know if anyone else has heard this, but Rosa Parks was not actually the first person to refuse to give up her seat on a bus.
She was just the first person the NAACP made a public case out of.
See, the first lady to refuse to give up her seat, was 15 and pregnant, and the NAACP decided that she wasn't exactly the right person for their campaign. Rosa Parks came next.
I'm not trying to take away the significance of Rosa Parks' life or anything, I swear, I'm just stating an interesting fact. Or at least I thought it was interesting anyway. Rosa Parks really was a great person, I mean, without her, things would have been a lot different for minorities, even if she wasn't the first to make a stand.
She DID make a stand, and that's what counts.

From what you said, to me in my interpretation, we needed someone like that to make a standpoint for rights for black people. I mean, us white people in the past have treated black people like shit! and in order for equality to come about there has to be someone like Rosa Parks to make a case out of it. I mean, if I put myself in her shoes I wouldn't move for no white person either, so PROPS to ROSA <3

Fo sho, we definitely needed someone to make a standpoint for black people. I wouldn't have moved either. I'd have kept my seat.

I doubt either of you would have actually had the courage to do what she did if you'd been in her situation. She was an amazing woman who helped start something great.
