I just came across this list from some radio station. As with most lists, I agree with some of it, and disagree with some of it

I voted for the countdown and my top 4 didn't make the list at all. They were (I forget the order) The Bad Plus "Give" and "These Are The Vistas" and OLP "Happiness" and "SM". "Incesticide" by Nirvana which also made my top ten didn't make it either. My other picks all made it though...John Coltrane "A Love Supreme" David Bowie "Ziggy Stardust" Beatles "White Album" and "Sgt. Pepper" and...what was the last one? I'm drawing a blank...but it did make the list. I couldn't believe that no Stone Temple Pilots made the list and that Bowie's "A Space Oddity" didn't either! I didn't realize that "Abbey Road" wasn't on yet so when it was down to #2, I thought #1 had to be Space Oddity. I thought that #1 was a little high for that album, but it would certainly make more sense than having it not make the top 885! "Abbey Road" has to be one of the worst Beatles albums IMHO. Don't get me wrong, it has some really good songs, but as an album, it just doesn't grab me like "White Album" "Sgt. Pepper" "Let It Be" "Revolver" and (to a lesser extent) "Rubber Soul". I was happy to see "Kind Of Blue" by Miles Davis place so high. I was shocked by Counting Crows "August and Everything After" making 25. It's a good album all the way through, but 25?! I don't think it would make my top 100...top 200? Maybe.

Ground control to Major Tom...

Oh, one more thing! 2 artists I discovered through listening to the countdown. Both artists I "knew about," but never knew that much about. Pink Floyd...blown away by The Wall and Dark Side Of The Moon. Also, Ani DiFranco(sp?) Not A Pretty Girl. I think my mom is going to get me at least one of the Pink Floyd albums for Christmas, so I'll have to hold off on those (it's going to be tough!) but I think I'll get the Ani DiFranco on Friday.

I'm glad Weezer's blue album and Pinkerton were on there. Those 2 albums are amazing

Yeah, I was glad to see that too...but Blue placed higher than Pinkerton! Pinkerton is by FAR their best album.
