Anyone else going to get one?

I've been waiting almost a year for it, and I almost got the 20gb photo, but didn't because it didn't hold enough. Now with the 30gb video I'm gunna have to send in my old 3rd gen 15 gig in to bestbuy to have them replace it because it's screwed up. It's batter lasts for 2-4 hours at most, it randomly shuts off it it's headphone jack doesn't work with the headphones in any position, like I will move the headphone wire and the left ear won't work.

I kept calling everyone an idiot for getting the ipod photos and ipods when they were brand new because it was so obvious that they'd have the ipod video right around the corner. Why spend like a third of a grand on something that only plays mp3s?

My answer: Because you're stupid!

this is for josh because he isn't on the hub and I can't give it to hime there.

Apple told iLounge that the fifth-generation iPod features greatly enhanced audio recording capabilities, and improved playback capabilities. The company said the new iPod sounds as good or better than the iPod shuffle, which Apple considers its prior gold standard in terms of sound quality. Good news for podcasters is the ability to record in either 22KHz mono or 44KHz stereo. The device still records in WAV format, which has to be converted to MP3 or AAC, however.

44KHz good.

But what bitrate? PCM or some sort of ACM / ADP compression?

Old iPods could be reformatted into linux and record at full quality WAV. But the results were not stable.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't know what the bitrate is. I plan on dwnloading eppisodes of family guy and resizing and what not so I can watch them on it before school.

IPods have absolutely no appeal to me. I think it's because I'm so damn cheap and can still get away with listening to cds.

It's lovely for an 8 hour shift where you need to run around a department store and use your hands.
