Just another tidbit for those in the states... Augustana (the opening band for the ATL and next few shows) will be featured on MTV tonight during the 10 spot. They will play videos and songs from them during commercial breaks, etc. They have been named one of the top up and coming bands by several publications. Might be worth checking out for those that are going to the show.

Nikki actually there was a big buzz about them..
they ar eth eband i think was on when I was talking with OLP in LA.. th enext ngiht I was talking with peole form KROQ in LA> they told me ther eis a huge buzz about them.. so yeah this band jsut may blow up..

I'm actually really happy about the fact that I get to see Augustana instead of Danko Jones, based on everyone's comments so far.
I'm hoping they're not going to draw a teeny crowd and I have to listen to them all kinds of screaming girls all night.
Band sounds good though, I listened to a few samples on their website. Did anyone watch the MTV show?

I just got home from the show. It was my 10th OLP show and it was FANTASTIC! Pretty much the same setlist. They played Potato Girl and Waited. I'm heading out of town for the weekend but I'll do a review when I get in. GO SEE THIS TOUR!!!

The concert was my first of theirs--I'm a pretty recent OLP fan--and it was AMAZING. They were all so charismatic and talented and AHHHH it was beautiful! (thanks to the great timing of my arrival I managed to squeeze into the front row too... 
) Jeremy's drumming during the first opening singer's song was great too...unfortunately, I didn't like that first guy or Augustana too much, but maybe it was just me. I'd give them both another shot.
Is it just me, or do I recognize that first guy from somewhere??? Didn't he at one point play guiter for someone else?

He plays guitar for OLP.
Oh, and he used to play for Alanis Morissette.

Ahh, then that's where he's from.
Is he an official part of the band now? Or is he just touring with them? (He has his own band Pedestrian, doesn't he?)

Not an official member... he's touring and worked with them in the studio for the last album. Kinda replaced Mike E. who had replaced Jamie Edwards.
