If you get a chance, check out this fantastic new band from the Hamilton area. Former left Pencey frontman Brad Lyons and his new band Oceanship just released their debut EP and will be heading out on tour very soon. Their sound is mostly mellow piano-driven acoustic rock. It's beautiful. Give them a listen at oceanshipmusic.com and
myspace.com/oceanship. I'm in charge of their fan club and am trying to drum up as much support as I can!
P.S. Brad always reminds me of Raine. His looks, his mannerisms, his voice...

I got a friend request from them on myspace!
I denied cos I always deny random bands I've never heard of.

Weee! I haven't been here in ages. It's great to be back! Nikki, I'm running Oceanship's MySpace page and added a whole whack of people the other night. Sorry for the random request, but I had to start somewhere!

Just so ya know...
You can download two of Oceanship's songs on their MySpace page and hear the whole album (minus the hidden track!) on oceanshipmusic.com. The EP is only $10 CA for Canadian residents and $13 US if you live outside of Canada. It's a steal!
You guys rule.

I'm pretty glad too. They sound really good, now I must wait for the cd to arrive.
On an unrelated note, where is marathon abouts?

My cd came today! I was surprised that it didn't have a case but I can find one around the house to put it in. Media player doesn't recognize it though

but winamp does, so I have them both open so I can see what I'm listening too.
