Kingston meetup!

I just got home from spending the day with Josh, Jess, Alex and Bethany! (plus a couple of Alex's friends and Josh's girlfriend)

It was great. I met Boots, Alex and her friends at Queen's. We headed downtown and wandered around for a bit. We called Josh to find out when he was coming, so he and his girlfriend walked downtown to meet us. Of course, it took him like 45 minutes to get there.

Needless to say we were not pleased. Pictures to follow.

After wandering up the main drag for a bit, we found a neat looking little café place that served breakfast all day (it was like 12:30 at this point). So we went inside, sat down and waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Finally we got someone to take our order. So we sat and talked while we waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

Finally, at around 2:30, TWO HOURS after sitting down, we got our food. We didn't really care because we were having a good time hanging out. But it was probably the worst service I've ever had.

It was 3:00 when we left the café, and we decided to see what time Corpse Bride was playing. Turns out it started in five minutes. The movie was alright. Not great, and very short. But the claymation was cool, and Tim Burton still kicks ass. But it was no Nightmare Before Christmas...

We decided to go back to Josh's dorm (which we couldn't all get into anyways, as it turned out. apparently he has to sign in one guest at a time), and we met up with Jess there. After an hour or two of trying to decide what to do, we ordered pizza and got some drinks and went down to the waterfront to spend the rest of the day.

Oh yeah, and I got Josh's girlfriend to start calling him a manwhore.

Nice addition.

And, wow... 2 hours for food?

It was great. The first time I said it, she looked at me with a kind of quiet awe and said "Hey ... he is a manwhore!"

That's okay. I thought I was going to be busy, but with the rain, plans fell through.

You missed the part where we smuggled 40 bucks worth of alcohol into the movie theatre. And drank it.

Forty bucks? Wtf?

I could have sworn your "forty bucks worth of alcohol" consisted of eight coolers. Were you hiding something from the rest of us?

And then Josh dropped his empty bottle and it subtly (and by "subtly" I mean "very loudly") rolled down the theatre floor.

considering kelly and i made like 3 trips to the LCBO within the span of a couple hours that day, i can pretty much guarantee we were hiding a lot more booze on us.

yes it was decorating my de-labeled cooler bottle for a while, remember?

also we got the same cashier with kelly twice in a row at the LCBO and she gave us the dirtiest look the second time
