I think it will be, but I also think it will be freakish hellish scary. Especially after I was sketched out by Exorcist. And yet, I'm still planning to go see this movie!

This looks 100 times scarier than the exorcist ever was.
Plus, the tape recording you hear in the trailer is apparently the actual tape recording from the real exorcism (though the names and location are changed, it's based on a true story...)

After a quick search, the real girl who apparently died during an exorcism was named Anneliese Michel.
Time magazine actually had an article about it (this is just a short free excerpt, but it's enough to get the idea across)
http://www.time.com/time/archive/previe ... 29,00.html
EXORCISM BY DEATH
When Anneliese Michel died at the age of 23 in Klingenberg, West Germany, in the summer of 1976, she was little more than a skeleton, weighing a mere 68 Ibs. Yet shortly before she died, her parents said, Anneliese performed an astonishing 500 deep knee-bends in one day. The source of her power, her parents believed, was nothing less than the devil himself. Anneliese's release from evil spirits came only with death, after she starved herself during a nightmarish ten-month series of Roman Catholic exorcism rituals. A more complete story about her.
It sounds to me more like she had severe mental problems.
But it still looks like one hell of a movie.

I don't know if I want to listen to this or not... I found it by searching for "Anneliese Michel recording"

I listened to bits of it. It's very creepy (especially when alone in a dark basement at 12:30 in the morning).
But it's not actually from Anneliese Michel's recording. It's a different exorcism clip from an article about Anneliese Michel.

I recently learned that I like scary movies. This movie may get on my nerves though. I think scary movies about psycho killers are easier for me to handle . . . even though I guess they're more likely to come true.

pyscho killer movies i can easily handle cause i know i could kick mike meyers ass or the killer in saw....
however, religion based horror is truly horror for me.

That's exactly what I assume "demonic possession" is.

I believe in Demonic Possesion. Just the same as I believe in Angels. You can't have one without the other, I don't think.
