on an impulse I bought 2 tix for the Thurs. night show at the Bowery Ballroom. Looking forward to it, but I've never been to the venue before. Heck, I've never been to NYC before! Anyone ever been to the Ballroom? What's it like there?

Here is the info on the bowery ballroom. It only holds 550 people. There are two floors.. First floor is a bar, and holding area for the shows( the don't allow you into the venue part right away). 2nd floor is the venue..No matter where you stand you have a great view. Personally I love the sound there cause the celings are so high. Very intimate place for a show.. Also if you are front row right on top of stage. Never been a barrier between stage and fans.. I have seen shows there. One of my favorite venues in NYC..
here is the link for the place.

That sucks.. I would let you all crash where I live( but I live outside of NYC), and it is a bit of a mess right now.
I know all about the money though.. Even though I have a full time job, it does cost to go to shows.. I usually try to put some away cause I know I will be going. I don't know how I am going to do U2.. I hope I can get teh cheap seats(60).. If I have to get the 170's again i can't go.. That is way too much for a show. That is why I can't see McCartney or the Stones.. those tickets are a few hundrred..
Both shows are offically sold out.. The voice had the first night as sold out last week, but you could go online and still buy them. Both shows have been taking off line. YEAH> i can't wait for this show.

Yeah, tickets for the second one sold out while I was down the shore. I came back and was sad... not that I could've gotten them anyway.

I really hope so.

I can't imagine them playing 3 miles from my house and not going... but it all depends on money.

you live that close to Troc.. I thought you lived about 20 miles from Philly..
My Friend I see Interpol with wants to go to the Philly show.. So I am going to take her to that. Hopefully it won;t sell out.. Then again I have never had a problem getting into an OLP show.. Where there is a will there is away..
getting back to somethign you said. I also hate that the bands I love are playing within weeks, some days of each other.. A normal person would be satisified going to one show.. Goes to show you how insane we are..

Thanks all for the info. Looking forward to the show (and seeing NYC too). One more question...is this place easy to find? Here's hoping it's on a subway system or something.
Also looking forward to Cleveland show hopefully the Philly show.

There's a subway stop right in front of the Bowery Ballroom. We took it to get there for Silverchair.
