Not to mention, they're his TEACHERS. It wouldn't matter if he was 18 and already had a kid. Teachers are supposed to be authority figures for students.

Where was this article from again? I think I read it was England so I assume it will be similar to other such laws regarding sex crimes in Canada. I know the age of consent in England is 16, but the teacher is in a position of authority over the student, so in Canada it would be illegal, until the kid was 18. Maybe things are different in England.
As for whoever made the comment about a 16 year old girl sleeping with a 35 year old man. In Canada that is legal, hell a 14 year old could do that.

no, in Canada, a 14-year old can't sleep with a 35-year-old.
i can't remember exactly why, but it's got something to do with a 3 year limit.
a kid under the age of 18 cannot consent to sex with anyone older than 3 years than the kid in question is.
