Samurai.. OBVIOUSLY

Ninja. Ninjas have samurai skills and then some!

No, ninjas are pansies. They sneak attack you. Where as a samurai will take you on straight up. It takes 10 ninjas to beat 1 samurai!

Clearly, the Samurai are superior.

Except that, while the ninja may be a "pansy" as you said, this is not about who is cooler. In that respect samurai wins. This is about who could kill the other. The ninja's pansiness would allow it to sneakily kill the samurai before he had even drawn his sword.

Whoa whoa whoa... wait a minute. Nobody said this was a random fight. I was assuming an arranged fight that both parties were aware of. In the latter case, the samurai owns.

Even if it is arranged, the ninja quickly disappears into nothing, confusing the samurai (not known for their intellect) and allowing the ninja to go in for the kill.

say what? samurai are definately more intelligent than some grungy ninja. A samurai goes through years of training and learning where a ninja is just some grungy dude bribed to join a filthy band of assassins. Kind of like the Foot Klan. A samurai uses stealth and dexterity to win over its inferior competitor.

I will say this though. A ninja would beat a pirate.

And yes, almost anyone can beat a pirate. Pirates, though awesome, suck at fighting. They're much better at trash talking.

In the Indy DVD Box set, does the ninja shoot first?

They didn't want Indy to seem too rough, so they digitally added a gun in the ninja's other hand. So that he would miss Indy, they digitally edited that dude with the cane jumping in front of Indy to take the bullet for him. Then Indy shoots the clearly evil ninja.

Ahh.. well that makes it better. Good thing technology has allowed us to go back and make that scene how it was originally meant to be. Back then, making the ninja shoot first just wasn't possible.
