Iced Earth

I doubt many of you have heard anything by Iced Earth, but they are really good. They're a metal band, but they don't have that stereotypical screaming sound. They're lyrics are thought out so well and carry some amazing meanings. The instrumental is awesome as well. A few reccomended downloads are, Devil to pay(Gettysburgh 1863), Hold at all costs, High water mark (those three played in order are a story about the civil war), When the eagle cries, declaration day, burnt offerings, last december, Diary, and Dante's Inferno and many more. So go and listen then discuss.

Oh my god. I'm actually going to kill you.
I stared at the ugliest stupidass Iced Earth poster ever on the wall above my cousin's bed for like two solid weeks while I was staying in her room in Greece last month.

Anyways, so I don't ruin your thread, let me clarify that i've never heard a note of their music. I just think they're ugly

Fair enough. They aren't really the traditional metal sound though.

My friend Bob who is obsessed with Metallica is also and Iced Earth fan apparantly.
I've never heard any of their stuff. The only 'metal' I like is Apocalyptica... you know, the Finnish cellists.

I've heard them before. I guy in my class shoved his I-pod in my ear. Something that included a long interval of creepy talking.
