The CM poker thread

so who loves poker? I surely do. It's tons o' fun. Just wondering if anyone else here enjoys playing?
Right now I'm playing at pokerroom.com... It's a pretty good site that allows you to play for fake money or real money. So far I've only played with fake but after starting with $1000 I'm now up to around $35,000, which is making me wonder if I should give it a go with real money.
So here is where you can share your bad beats, your fishy tales and other joys of poker.

I learned how to play Texas Hold 'Em from celebrity poker.
though, so has everyone else in the universe. Its fun though. None of my friends play poker. I've been trying to start a poker night for the longest time and no one wants to.

i'm with jim..
at school we played at least five nights a week whenever possible.
i did reeeally well, to the point that i was seen as intimitating and revered for my poker skills.
since coming home i've played about fifteen games and havent won yet.
it sucks
but anyway,
i don't really like playing online.
I might give it a try when i can put a little money into it, but i think it's the atmosphere and the chips in front of you that really make it as fun as it is.

It's too bad we couldn't get a CM poker game going on a site. I know you can do private games on pokerroom.com.

I know how to play, I used to with max and his friends. The one time i bet with real money, i lost all of it in 5 minutes. I'm an enthusiastic better
. Even if i have a pair of twos, i'll call and raise like nobodies business.

I'm in for a poker game anytime....
I play all the time....i always have to carry around alot of money cause you never know when an impromtu poker game is gonna break out, so you gotta be prepared
some might call my overwhelming need and desire to play poker a disease....in fact, i think they have numbers you can call for that....hmm.........

i've stated playing poker when i was a kid. i haven't played in awhile though, so i don't really know how to play anymore. me and some guy at work were playing the other day, and neither of us knew if 2 pairs beat 3 of a kind.

my friends and 3 quarters of my grade are obsessed with poker and would probably die playing it.

royal flush IS a straight flush
i think that's one of my biggest pet peeves ever.
but yeah, i'd be up for a cm game i think
