Anyone heard about this? Devil's Lake in North Dakota has been endagering surrounding towns for years now, and the government has decided the logical solution would be to dump it all into the Red River, and send it downstream to Winnipeg, and Manitoba in general. It also apparently would have effects on Ontario.

All Canadian's are against it happening, and Amerian's are pissed that we're refusing and calling us whiners. And the govenor of ND has decided to advise all North Dakotan's to cease traveling to Manitoba, which is very healthy tourism both ways.

Yet another strain on Canadian/American relations. And also another kick to the already weakening tourism industry of both our Provinces/states, with the passport issue and all.

I've heard about it, its complete bullshit. Our poor river :*(**.

The dumb thing is they assume it's ok to just send the problem down river to us to deal with, and then call us whiners when we get mad. I guess it is ND we're talking about here, possibly America's shittiest state. Lol it's sad when a Canadian province is kicking your ass in just about every department, esspecially one of the provinces still considered a Have-not one, although thta's going to change very quicking in the next few years

lol Winnipeg is a Ghetto, but the rest of Manitoba is probably the nicest place you'll find in the west till you hit mountains. I've been all across the canadian west tons of times, and i can unbiasedly say that we do really have some ofthe nicest scenery and towns. Untill you hit the Rockies.

We all like to rag on winnipeg, and it really is a very bad city for crime, as well as weather, and traffic. But it does also have some good stuff too though, mostly due to the NDP party running Manitoba.

It's has the cleanest air and water of all north american cities over 500,000 people. And also Canada's largest urban forrest. It's also Canada's gay capital i believe, and also boast's the largest french population outside of quebec, it's french quater really feels like you're in Quebec. and several other perks.

just don't go walking alone downtown......ever.

New Hampshire is beautiful, and Delaware is the home of tax-free shopping!!! You people are crazy.

Anyway, I assume this lake is really polluted, and that's the problem?

Gotta love how people destroy things, then their best solution is to give the problem to someone else.

Saskatchewan has some beautiful parts though, they sand dunes for one, and even the prairie is breathtaking if you've never seen it before. But yeah, once you hit the rockies, its pretty damn beautiful. We've got mountains, trees, AND ocean down my way
