Would you or wouldn't you?

I suck at making up thread titles.

Anyhow. I am planning on moving in with one of my two best friends next fall. I have heard good things and bad things about this. I don't think we would let it ruin our friendship, but that would really suck if that happened. I know of two girls from my hs who were best friends and now they don't even talk to eachother after a year of living together.

It's all about keeping the communication open. Once you start keeping things from the other person things go sour. Ifd you have a problem with something they do the best thing to do is address it right away so it doesn't become a huge problem over time.

It really depends. For me, living with one of my best friends would be unthinkable because we're opposite freaks. With my other best friend it would be an awesome idea.

So im ambivalent...

We're pretty good about being open. We tell eachother everything it seems and we're very similar in how expect our things to be treated and our boundaries.

then I say give it a whirl. In all honesty you make your own bed in these types of situations.

My best friend moved into my basement a few months ago, and it's the most awesome thing ever. It's so great being able to talk to her at like 3 o'clock in the morning. But then again, before she lived with me she lived with another friend, and they barely talked by the end.

My advice: make sure you aren't spending too much time together. You need time with other friends too, because you're spending so much time with that one friend just by living with them. It should be fun.

I voted yes because I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't, seeing as I've made the decision to move in with three very close friends next year. Not to mention there being some interesting situations involved. Unfortunately I don't have much experience with this, but I hope it works out for us, and for you

It shall. I have a good feeling about it, despite the occasional doubts.

i do live with my best friend. it's shitz and giggles 24/7!

but then we're both kind of lax people with few, but similar, peeves.

you guys should discuss the things that you're anal about in an apartment and in roommate behavior ahead of time. because i do know many a best friend moving in together horror story that could have been avoided if those things had just been taken into consideration.

I voted yes.

I'm going to be living with four of my best friends in a house next year as well. The fact that it won't be all guys is good, too. It is going to be three guys and two girls to sort of balance things out.

Cool. If I get my own pad, I'd want a female roomate
