so, if i say something that is clearly not meant in an offensive way but one of the "all mighty, higher than me" mods get "offended" then i'll get banned? no warnings or anything? or does that only really apply to certain people?

just trying to clarify.

If 20% of your posts are randomly offensive, yes definitely.

sorry alex, i didn't mean it towards you at all. it's just getting a little annoying that threads are getting locked just cause certain mods don't like what is being said. they lock it instead of addressing the problem.

I locked the thread concerning the CM's rules because I felt that megxyz128 was "clearly trying to start shit." I didn't think that shit needed to be started. So I locked it, Rob had a chance to address what she said and he did.

The previous thread, "returning to the scene of the crime" . . . Jeff of all people should know exactly what is and what is not acceptable on this board. He's pushed as far as he can in the past. Maybe Aaron didn't know the rules, but Jeff does so it's completely ridiculous that he would start that "returning to the scene of the crime" thread and practically tell the mods to stop enforcing the rules just because it didn't offend him when they were broken. I think that's why that was locked.

that's good that you feel that only rob's opinion matters. i would of liked to of said something concerning his post. honestly, i think calling someone pathetic is offensive. more offensive than making a comment that clearly wasn't aimed at anyone. and i'm not trying to start anything...it's just bothering me and i'm not going to pretend it doesn't.

I think there are a few people around here taking things too seriously.

There are always going to be people who just don't get along. Unless it's becomes all out rude, why lock it? I didn't see anything worse than normal in any of those threads.

But, I'm just crazy Cass! And that's probably why I'm no mod.

btw, has anyone noticed we have two threads with the exact same title.

Umm...

Making homophobic comments, and calling someone pathetic are two different kettles of fish. The comments can be directed at an entire lifestyle and minority group of people. The pathetic comment is aimed at some guy who really doesnt matter.

I dont even see how you can parralel the two events.

+dammit!!! outposted! That was directed at Maria's comment, wayy up there.
