Why is it that I'm not in any clubs? I have several memberships pending since forever and ever and ever ago, and none of them will let me in
Can someone explain this to me?

Depends... the clubs you're waiting for might have presidents who don't add people anymore... what clubs are you waiting for?

Clubs don't do much. At first we made a bunch of empty promises of gifts for all members, but that was just to get people to join.
Clubs are made on a rare basis. As you can see, there is a club for each major member and former member of OLP (not including Jamie or Mike E, since Mike E was never an official member, and Jamie was only an official member for what seems like a few mintues before he left the band), and also for a couple of select members who gave the admin sexual favours to get a club.
