YAY!!!!

Ok boots, here's the plan for tonight:

Nadege and Maya and I are going to Peel Pub at like 9:30 because it's $1 shooter night and the place gets CRAZY FULL any later than that and then we are going to come get you at the station at like 11:15 all hammied and such and take a taxi up to rez and drop your stuff off and then go somewhere else with you (the line at peel will be around the block by that time). Ok? Good!

Bethany's experiences in this foreign land

-everybody speaks french. when you cross ontario to quebec it turns into french land.
-people speed like crazy and you think you are going to die when the taxi driver turns the corner.
-its cold here
-gin and tonics are good.

everything is in french too. no english.
so you don't know what you are eating when you go to a restaurant
unless alex translates for you.

The picture diary so far:

First I went to Peel Pub with Nadege and Maya


where everything got blurry


as we enjoyed a variety of 99 cent shooters


and examined the drink specials


and the waitress was nice and took a picture cause we tipped well.


Then, we walked to the train station where we amused ourselves waiting for Bootsany's train


until she finally arrived!!


We came back to my room for a few minutes and Boots showed me a map of her school


before we walked to "Cafe Poopoo" (aka Casa del Popolo)


where the cielings are really cool and the gin and tonic is yummy.

We came home and fell asleep and woke up this morning to an odd and cryptic message on the door


and played on the CM a bit


before updating this thread!

This morning we decided to go to Value Village, but we couldn't remember which metro stop it was, so we went the wrong way. Boots tried to intercept directions from the mother ship but reception was a bit fuzzy.


Then the track closed for construction, stranding us in some random, totally incorrect station.


Finally we were headed the right way!


At Value Village Boots made some great new friends


but the poor No Box shoes got left out


Paisley on paisley action is hot


especially in purple.


Lime green is a close second, though.


Kids, this is what drugs do to bad monkeys.


Then it was time to hit up the city's most famous strip club!

For dinner we went to La Belle Province and introduced Boots to the miracle of poutine


which she rapidly devoured. With two hands.


Around 11 we went to pick up Nadege and her friend


and hit up Gitana, a happening hookah cafe.


Boots peered out crazily from the hookah forest


as she learned how it was done.


Meanwhile Alex became a dragon


and funny smoke shapes were blown all around.


After Gitana we went to Cafe Campus and danced our asses off

Finally we arrived home at 3:40 am and crashed.


It was a good day.
