I just got this in an e-mail yesterday and I thought some of you might be interested...

GREENWHEEL NEWS UPDATE:
- The self-titled "Soma Holiday" Indie Record -

It's been a long time coming ... well 5 years or so to be exact. We know you a lot of you guys have been bummed about the lack of availability of the old Soma Holiday indie album - the one that was released in 2000 before we had our record deal. Now that we have parted ways with Island, we are finally going to fix that. We have just finished remixing and remastering that whole record, and we are going to re-release it to the public.

It's the same original recordings of the 11 songs, but the sonic quality has been dramatically upgraded and we are really happy with how it turned out.

It will first be available at the concert on March 4th in Columbia, MO ... kind of like an unofficial CD Re-Release Party if you will. Soon after that, you will be able to get it online via our webstore on our new website that will be launching shortly.

We hope you guys like the updated record ... at least now scalpers can't ask $250 for a copy of it on Ebay anymore.

Also, we just hooked up with a new T-shirt company that rocks!!! They make awesome, vintage style T-shirts. We have a brand new design that we are trying to get done before the Columbia show for ya'll as well. Hopefully everything will go as planned.

Well, that's it for now. Hope to see all of you guys next month in Columbia!!! Don't worry, more good news to come soon ...

GW

Oh uh... I kinda knew about this like... a month or more ago. Guess I should've posted it.

Anyway... can't wait to get my hands on that album all remastered and nice. Also really can't wait to see their new site. With the band themselves in charge of it, it should be pretty cool. And I REALLY can't wait for the new merch. Maybe I'll finally own Greenwheel clothing.

For anyone interested, the remixed/remastered album is now available on the band's new awesome site. \m/

Also, a t-shirt and hoodie are on there, being modelled by Andy and Brandon.

i was kind of dissapointed in the hoodie. they made it sound like it was all new stuff but that hoodie has been on sale FOREVER. i'd buy it but i don't want someone holding a gun on the back of my hoodie!

Yeah, I thought that was gonna be new, too... I never liked it. :(

I don't really like that new t-shirt, either. :uhh: Oh well. Maybe there'll be more soon. *crosses fingers*

New songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And these are probably B-Sides, since they're full length. Meaning... we aren't spoiling any surprises for the new CD :)

Also, for anyone in the St. Louis area... Ryan Jordan, along with one of the other Greenwheel'ers and the drummer from Stir/Gravity Kills plays in a cover band called the "Wyld Stallyns." They even wear like costumes and stuff... weird.

 That's amusing.

And, these aren't b-sides... they're (from what I can figure out from messageboard chatter) tracks from the album that Island has hostage.

Nikki ,

I am sure you all ready know this. I can't believe they are playing The Lion's den. LOL. My friends played there..

Greenwheel announced some East Coast dates

Howdy folks -

So we are finally announcing the first leg of our new tour. We are naming it the "Greenwheel Militia : Active Duty Tour", in honor of our new street team, the Militia (more details coming on that shortly). The tour dates listed below are for the first leg of the tour (2 weeks) … so don't get disappointed if you don't see your city at this time. We have lots more concerts to announce very soon.

We absolutely cannot wait to get back out on the road for some rock shows and some familiar faces!!! We'll be sporting some new tunes, as well as our new drummer Drew Bailey (at least the ladies seem to like him). Be there or be... square! (wow, that truly was incredibly lame)

- greenwheel <--- yes, we really did eat paint chips as children.
