My best friend and one of his friends did a cover of In Repair recently; it's accoustic, the singer is female, and it sounds very different from the original song but I dig it anyways. I was wondering if anybody has any feedback because I'm proud of him.

it's not bad at all,

whatever they say before the song starts almost ruins it, but otherwise it's good stuff.

No sir, I didn't like it.

First off, the rhythm makes me dizzy... second, the singer sounds like she belongs in a high school musical, not a band.

i love what she did with it and went for, but think it needs some fine tuning. still it's good underneath, it just needs some work.

Ren and Stimpy is the greatest thing since being born. I can't wait for the second season to come out on DVD. The first season was my most anticipated DVD set!

They kinda fucked up Karma Police. Even if that was intentional.

I usually only like to listen to what's popular and the "IN" thing, so I'm going to go with the popular vote and not listen.

Yah I don't like her voice that much either. And, that's the thing, she DOES belong in a high school musical; she sings in her high school chorus group. It's not a real band; my best friend is just collaborating w/ as many people as he can find and uploading the results on Myspace and Purevolume.

They don't say anything before In Repair starts, they're just making noises at each other.

I appreciate the honesty.

It's a good effort. Her voice is alright. It just doesn't suit the song though. She lacks the force to effectivley drive the song to the heart. Her voice would be good with some other songs though. She's a decent singer.

Ahhhh, that explains it then.

Funny enough, that's the same problem I have with Avril Lavigne's voice.
