They did indeed. I got the call today; they offered me the jobby-poo. Wonder how much I'll start at as far as a pay rate.

Hmmm, on our pay scale there are 7 different levels of pay, 7 being highest and 1 the lowest. Asset Protection is 6 or 7, I believe. So that should be a dollar or 1.20 above the stores start rate. Plus you will get credit for previous work for each full year of employment you've had over the last 6 years. If you've been a job hopper, it won't do you much good. If you have stayed continuously employed with someone, then you can end up making a decent amount more.
Did you get offered Asset Protection Associate, or Coordinator? If it's coordinator, then it's a salaried position, and you'll have to discard all of the above.

Associate. I have to go in today to sign whatever and go take my pee test. I was continuously employed for 8 years (10/99 to 10/07) with the same employer. She (The APC) told me I start at level 7. Guess I shall find out later today.

That's good. You should start out making pretty good money for someone hired in new off the street.

Not bad. Considering you're making about 3 dollars more than what the average joe starts out at the mart, you're in good shape. It took me about 4 years to get that much money, and I started off at 5.25.

Wrong topic jerks!
This is about movies. The last movie I watched was the movie ONCE. Who here has seen it?

fans of Raine busking recently will probably like this clip.
one of the many songs in the movie, early on as you obviously see the movie's title. Sorry bout the blurriness, they're all like that because it's watermarked.
copyright rules and what not.
Also, not this song, but a different one from the movie is nominated for an Oscar for Best Song.

i picked the movie! it didn't suck! i tend to pick out sucky movies! like waitress! but once didn't suck! it had super good music in it!
anyway, the lead guy is from an irish band called the frames. i'd recommend also watching the youtube video for "falling slowly" (the oscar nominated one). that man can hit beautiful high notes.

Depends on the state. New York is up to $7.15 an hour I believe (unless it went up again this year) but some states go as low as $5.15 or so.

It was $5.15 when I was making minimum wage. So like five and six years ago. As far as I know it hasn't changed yet.

Driving Lessons
It was funny watching Ron Weasley in a different role. He was actually better in Driving Lessons than he is in Harry Potter!

Makes me glad I don't have any virginity to lose, because that might be embarrassing...
(not in the sense that being a virgin is embarrassing, in the sense that I'd lost it in public)
