My pre-test ritual is to sit by the homely looking girl that always attends class, speak to her for a bit, then copy off her like mad. It works like a fucking charm.

I just got back from my oral surgery and I'm completely gone.

And I get eat lots and lots of popsicles and liquid foods.

Socrates drank hemlock for his philosophy, he couldn't have been that happy. Aristotle got payed in large amounts by Alexander the Great, so he must've been fairly happy.

I dunno, Socrates was pretty happy to be dead, unless he was lying. He said death is merely a seperation of the soul from the body, and body is an obstacle to obtaining knowledge, so he thought philosophers should face death happily.

Haven't read Aristotle except Poetics. But I thought philosophers cannot be indulged by material goods, how can Aristotle be happy just by getting paid?

Conclusion: Aristotle is no philosopher!
